ADULT EDUCATION AND LITERACY HSE

The Cape Girardeau Adult Education & Literacy (Cape AEL) serves adult students (ages 17 years and older) in the following areas: 

  • Prepare for the new Missouri HSE (High School Equivalency) test – formerly the GED® test

  • Study English as a Second Language
  • Prepare for the U.S. Citizenship exam
  • Prepare for entrance exams such as TEAS math 
  • Learn or improve basic reading, math or writing skills
  • Work with Transitions Coordinator in making next step after HSE (employment or post-secondary)

  • Cape Adult Learning Center (day and evening)
  • Advance (evening)
  • Perryville  (evening)

Test Preparation:
  • TEAS math – CTC: Fall of 2017
  • Reading and language skills
ESL/Citizenship classes are available at:
  • ESL – Cape Adult Learning Center (morning and evening)
  • Citizenship – Cape Adult Learning Center (evening only)
