#440 Introduction to Square Dancing (24 hours)

Square dance your way to a better life. Square dancing is the official folk dance of Missouri with over 100 square dance clubs in Missouri. Dancing regularly can lead to a slower heart rate, lower blood pressure and improved cholesterol profile.
Square dancing can burn between 200 and 400 calories in thirty minutes of dancing. The side to side movements of dancing can strengthen weight bearing bones and can help prevent the loss of bone mass.
If you can walk you can probably square dance. The activity of square dancing welcomes all ages. Participants in the class should wear comfortable clothing and shoes.

This course is designed to engage students in a business environment and communicate effectively in real life situations. It addresses the increasing need to prepare students in the business world.

This class will introduce realistic situations and specialized vocabulary that customer service professionals need to use with Hispanic members of the community in the course of their daily work and will also teach the students the cultural background that they will use. Business negotiations, styles and strategies differ from one culture to another. We will discuss the differences and learn how to conduct business with Spanish-speaking countries.
