Medical Office Specialist
 
Medical Office Specialist program consists of one semester, 720 hours, in various courses designed to help the student develop the necessary skills to perform in a medical office.   Classes include such topics as, Keyboarding, Computer Courses, Medical Terminology, Medical Billing and Coding, Medical Transcription, Medical Office Procedures, Medical Assisting, Electronic Health Records, Basic Math, and Accounting. The courses will cover 600 hours, and students are expected to complete a 120 hour internship for completion of the Specialist Certificate. Students must provide a copy of their high school diploma or GED to enter the program. Students who enroll in the program are required to pass all classes in the program to receive their certification. There is a $100 deposit required upon applying.
