Since 1974, the Practical Nursing Program at the Cape Girardeau Career & Technology Center has been educating entry-level practical nurses.  In 2002, the two-year evening practical nursing program was developed.  The curriculum is the same as the 1-year day practical nursing program, but the classes are only on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings.

There have been over 780 graduates from our Practical Nursing Program with an overall pass rate of 98.3% on the NCLEX-PN. Our graduates work in a variety of health care settings including hospitals, nursing homes, doctors’ offices, home health agencies, schools. We are currently taking applications for the Fall 2012 classes.
