The Cape Girardeau Career & Technology Center is open to individuals interested in training for a specific occupation or specializing in a particular facet of his/her current occupation. Adult students have evening and day-time options for taking long-term technical training.
Day-time programs are nine-months in length and follow the Cape Public School calendar. Most programs can be taken either in a three-hour block in the morning or a three-hour block in the afternoon. Adult students will be co-mingled with secondary students. High school students receive priority placement in these programs. If space remains adults are accepted to the programs. Adult applications are accepted from March 1 until two weeks prior to the start of school.
The evening programs are for adult students only. These programs are provided through a partnership with Mineral Area College. Students are earning college credit that can go toward an Associate of Applied Science degree.
