Business Technology Course Description
This course is designed to help students develop the qualities, knowledge and skills necessary for working in business. Areas of study include Computer Application, Web design, graphic design, accounting, entrepreneurship, and other business related topics. Second semester juniors and all seniors may participate in the SBE (Supervised Business Experience) internship for school credit and paid, on-the-job training.
Business Technology II Course Description
This course is designed to furthr develop and refine student qualities, knowledge and skills for working in a business. Students will participate in an on-the-job training during class time. Other areas of study include web page, legal office procedures, medical office procedures, and accounting.
Computer Programming Course Description
This class is an introduction to the discipline of programming using Visual Basic programming language in a Windows environment. The course will include data types, control structures, arrays, functions, properties, event methods, menus, dialog, and other topics as time permits.
Desktop Publishing Course Description
This semester course is designed to prepare students for a career in Desktop Publishing. Students in the Desktop Publishing course will enhance their computer skills and learn the benefits of creating a variety of publication using the program InDesign. InDesign is a powerful tool for composing business cards, cards, flyers, brochures, booklets, newsletters, and multimedia presentations, from initial design layout of final, reproducible copy.
