2-year program, 3 credits per year, 3 periods per day


Year I
Presented to develop an understanding of the basic mechanical refrigeration system, and give knowledge of basic electrical circuits used to power and control air conditioning and refrigeration systems.  Students will develop basic troubleshooting skills and perform on domestic refrigeration systems, air conditoners, heating systems, and light commericial refigeration systems.

Year II
Students who complete Phase 1 will work with sophistiated electrical circuits and heating/air conditoning systems and develop load calculations skills.  Students should be able to pass EPA certification exam relevant to residential heating and air condintioning, light commercial heating and air conditioning, or commercial refrigeration.
