Landscape Horticulture
Grades 11, 12, and Adult
2-year program, 3 credits per year, 3 periods per day

The horticulture industry is currently in a state of repid growth.  As people become more concerned about their surroundings, world resources, nature, conservation adn controlling pollutions; horitculture becomes more important.  Landscape/Horticulture is designed to provide knowledge and practical ecperience in the care and idetification of ornamental plants (flowers, trees, and shrubs).  Activities include starting plants from seeds and vegetative plant part; greenhouse operationg; drawing landscape plans; floral desgn; pruining practices; lawn establishment and care.  These skills are taught in the two-year program.
