Electrical Trades
Grades 11, 12, and Adult
2-year program, 3 credits per year, 3 periods per day
 
This course will provide training in electrical trades. Students will learn how to interpret designs, drawings, and specifications. Instruction will include constructing, calculating, and installing basic residential and commercial circuits. Students will demonstrate the appropriate use of industry codes. This course will prepare students for entry level employment as an electrician and other related areas. Nearly all of the essential skills will be touched upon in the first year, with students in the second year focusing on more advanced techniques.
* A second year Electrical Trades course will be offered.
