Community college credit is available. Grades eligible: 11, 12, Adult.

This program provides training in auto collision repair, straightening sheet metal with hand and power tools, dent filling with plastics, sanding, and masking techniques. Basic instruction in MIG welding is given for panel replacement. Painting is primarily with a base coat/clearcoat paint system. Students will complete projects on late-model vehicles. Multiple chapters are covered in the first semester followed by shop learning projects. During the second semester, students will spend their time in the classroom and shop. Improving upon basic skills is primarily focused on during the first year to prepare students for year two of Automotive Technology. The second year provides advanced training in all phases of the occupation, including air conditioning, estimation, spraying urethane finishes of all types, color blending, and paint matching. Students will complete projects on a variety of vehicles.


Interview Required.
Current, valid Driver's License Required. 

How to Apply

  1. Schedule to take the WorkKeys with the CTC Assessment Office (573.334.0826) and obtain the required scores: 

    • Graphic Literacy- 4

    • Applied Math- 4

    • Workplace Documentation- 4

  2. *Complete an application & make deposit of $100.

  3. Provide proof of HS graduation (or GED).

  4. Submit the background check form.

Monday-Friday

The morning block schedule is from 8:25 a.m. to 10:50 a.m.
The afternoon block schedule is from 12:05 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.
