What is expected of students who enroll in the Adult Education & Literacy Program:

Attend a new student enrollment orientation

Take a Testing of Adult Basic Education (TABE) test to determine levels of understanding in areas of reading, math, & language.

Regularly attend classes until all academic goals are achieved.

Work to achieve goals and master the subject area

Is there a cost for the classes?

All classes are free to adults 17 years and older. 

How long will it take me to complete the classes?

Each student is unique and everyone learns at a different pace. More faithful attendance and time spent in class will greatly decrease the time spent before obtaining the goal.

Do I need anything for the class?

Nothing is required for the class. You will need to bring your state ID for orientation.

Can you help me to obtain a job or go on to college?

Our Transition Coordinator is ready to help each of our students further their goals. 

Can I bring my children with me to class?

No, children are not allowed to attend class or orientation. Please make arrangements for child care. 

Can I attend while still in high school?

No, all students must have dropped out of high school.
